Rudi is a professional, you can tell he legit cares about every detail. He was very responsive in answering all questions and helping to make sure I made the best decisions. If there were any concerns from his end he made sure I was aware. I did a full body matte PPF, ceramic coat and tint for my TRX and it all turned out amazing! There was even a trim piece that was damaged and Rudi made sure to point it out and let me know he already had it on order from Mopar and would take care of it. I wouldn't trust anyone else from here on out. Highly highly recommend!

I went to Rudi at Protective Solutions for ceramic window tint on both me and my dads 2026 Tesla Model Y. Rudi was great to work with! There was a slight miscommunication on my part regarding tinting the front light bar but Rudi took care of it on the spot! Very satisfied with the finished product and would recommend to anyone else looking for quality tint work. (50% windshield, 20% front, 5% rear, darkest option for lightbar)

Rudi helped me decide what to get to protect my new Tesla. He explained which areas of the car were the most vulnerable and told me what products to use to keep it looking great. The car looked fabulous. He did ppf and a ceramic coating. I plan to come back when I’m ready for tint. The shop did amazing, highly recommend.

Went to Rudi at Protective Solutions for window tint and the deluxe ceramic coating package on our new 2026 Ford Explorer ST. Rudi and the guys were absolutely fantastic! Communication was unbelievably good. He let us know that he found a small chip and took care of it for us. Let us know as soon as we could pick it up. Will definitely be going back when we upgrade the tint on my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado RST, and when the wrap gets updated. I would give 10 stars if I could!

I had another shop in October 2025 do the whole front end of my BMW x7 but by December the front bumper and front fender flares were already peeling back and catching dirt/water underneath the film. I took it here to see if they could fix and redo the bumper and wow I should’ve come to Protective Solutions first. Not only did they redo those PPF pieces they did an infinitely better job and now I can’t even tell it had PPF! They wrap around the edges of body panels instead of a precut kit that leaves them exposed still. 10/10 service and communication, I should have gone here first and I recommend them over anyone else in Des Moines.

If you’re looking for PPF or vehicle protection, Rudi is the real deal. Great communication, honest advice, flexible scheduling, and exceptional workmanship. The quality rivals shops in much larger markets, and his pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommended and will be returning for future needs. If you’re doing online research trying to find the right detailer in the Des Moines area - STOP, you’re not going to find better than Rudi.
