Custom Top Shop

I took all the seats from my 81 Fiat Brava to the shop in the fall and they rebuilt all the cushions and restitched all the seams back to original condition. This is a California car and all the padding and stitches had dissolved and came apart. This was about 6 years ago and everything it still great. They saved the interior of my car at a very respectable price. I picked them up come spring time just in time for the driving season.

Extremely happy with my experience at Custom Top Shop. Had several quotes to replace my Jag's convertible top and this shop beat them by a lot. Many places try and rob you if you have a luxury car. John has very fair and competitive prices, plus is professional and quick. You'll probably have to book months in advance, but it's worth the wait. Sending a thanks to John and the team.

Just got my Porsche back after one day! The headliner had let go and was drooping badly. I had to wait a while to get an appointment, but I am so glad I did! They did an excellent job--the new headliner looks perfect, and they were the lowest of three estimates I got! I wasn't chasing the low price, rather I had read their glowing reviews and that is what sold me.Excellent specialists who really know their trade. Fair price and excellent work! Thanks guys!!!

First consultation was good, felt great about John doing my top. Things went south fast. At drop off he completely changed his tune about what he was responsible for and quoted. He is terrible at scheduling and time management, the project took 4x longer than he thought. Tried charging me more than the original talked about price, and swore at me and talked about how horrible my car is. The man has no customer service skills or respect. With that said, I am happy with the work he did, but not worth the headaches and time wasted. Go somewhere else.

I couldn't be happier with the work Custom Top Shop has done for me. About a dozen years ago, they put on a new convertible top for me and it continues to be in great shape. Recently, they repaired seat upholstery in two of my vehicles and the quality was unbelievably good. It looked like new. Their prices, in my opinion, are too low. On the latest repair, John estimated $325. When I picked it up, the charge was $300 as it didn't take quite as long as expected. I told him to raise it to $350 because I was so pleased with his honesty and quality of work. I would have gladly paid even more. This company is a great, old-school business. He has no computers. Everything is hand-written. And prices are old-school too. If you are wanting to find a great upholstery shop, look no further. You found it.

If you own a Mercedes Benz beware of this guy. His prices are reasonable but you get what you pay for. I asked him to replace my R129 SL500 soft-top and asked if he ever watched the manufacturers instructional video and, if he had the stapler required and he replied that it doesn't have staples.
